Myths & Legends is a series of poster prints which illustrates the upcoming Victoria & Albert exhibition of Art Deco and the mythology and folklore behind the movement. The new (self created) exhibition at the V&A will be celebrating Art Deco, the most glamorous and popular style of the twentieth century and how it borrowed bold abstract and geometric patterns derived from the patterns seen on African textiles and Egyptian imagery such as shields and sculptures, zig zags, hatch marks, circles and triangles became part of the repertoire of Art Deco motifs.

The arts of Africa and East Asia provided rich sources of forms and materials. Recent archaeological discoveries fuelled a romantic fascination with early Egypt and Meso-America. Each Poster depicts African and Egyptian myths and legends stories, either be it the African God of war which has three heads and is often seen by playing music or the Egyptian Bull headed protector of the the Underworld.

The posters were created with hand drawn patterns and printed textures. Also created were geometric shape patterns with a collage effect.
